Chapter 21 - Summer of the Mariposas

In chapter 21 of 'Summer of the Mariposas', the protagonist Odilia and her sisters are walking through the deadly desert to free a drowned boy's spirit. On their way, they encounter a monstrous beast, called a chupacabras, which Odilia fights and defeats using her intelligence and courage. They continue their journey and eventually reach a magical cave, where they find the spirit of Salvador, the drowned boy's brother.
